We at Esther Benjamins Memorial Foundation (ebtrust. org. uk) are going to organize a bungee jump event on the 21st of Nov. Saturday to mark International Children’s Day which falls on 20th Nov.

Since 1999 EBT (Esther Benjamins Trust) has been rescuing and repatriating victims of the child trafficking trade between Nepal and India. EBMF, which is the local organization of EBT, is directly caring for 130 children by providing them with educational training and a high standard of living. EBMF not only provides the children with education but also runs various sustainable projects supporting the children with employment into adult life.

This event is organized to give EBMF more publicity at the same time raise some money for the organization.

Our target is to get 50 people participate for the bungee jump. The cost for the event will be Euro 100 for foreigners and Rs. 5400 for Nepali nationals. The event is organized in conjunction with The Last Resort who is reducing their costs to allow a donation to EBMF of half of the ticket price. We are hoping with the collected money we will be able to sponsor 6 children for a year.

The bungee jump will take place at “The Last Resort”, near the Tibetan border. The cost will include transportation from Kathmandu to the resort, the bungee jump at the resort, lunch and transportation back to the City. This is a one day event. The bus will leave at 6am on Saturday and will be back in the city around 8pm. There will be a mosaic stall along with EBMF publicity material at the resort to promote Himalayan Mosaics.

We would like you to help us reach the target of 50 people. We hope that you have an adventurous spirit and that you and your friends and family will take part. Please forward this message to your acquaintances so that we can reach as many people as possible. It will be a great day out for all involved. If you (or your family) would like to attend but not take part in the jump the price for the trip is Euro 20, this includes transport to and from the resort, lunch and a Euro 5 contribution to EBMF.
